  • ANIMATION DIRECTOR

    Job Description

     

    We are looking for a seasoned Animation Director looking to take the next step in his career by leading one of the most experienced real-time animation teams in the world to the next level.

    • Coordinate the efforts of our internal motion capture department featuring a soundproof & Vicon Mx40/T160 powered performance capture setup with our facial and body animation departments – Mentor teams

    • Elaborate and document the artistic animation charter, being inspired by the creative direction (films, current games and design documents)

    • Communicate to the teams the expectations in regards to quality and the contents of the animation by providing clear strategies, workflows, documentation and good visual references

    • Follow and validate the animations produced while respecting the artistic charter

    • Learn the platform, engine and tools limits to become a force of proposition to push the envelope further

    • Organize revision/perfection cycles.  

     

    Skills required :

     

    The successful applicant will be required to have a demonstrable experience in animation, including :

    • A minimum of 10 years animation experience within the video games or Film industry – with 2 of those years obtained in a similar role

    • Games or Films worked on should have featured complex animation challenges, amongst others on realistic facial animation

    • An intrinsic understanding of human expressions as well as anatomy – physiological reactions, body language and proportion in character conception

    • Solid understanding of Maya and Motion Builder (editing) paramount

    • Rigging experience highly advantageous – but not essential

    • Disciplined and motivated, able to work autonomously and to deliver on milestones reaching a high level of quality

    • Professional and positive attitude, efficiency in communicating with multinational teams

    • English imperative, French a plus

  • SENIOR ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

    Job description:

    We are seeking a Senior Environment Artist responsible for the creation of high quality, visually stunning and industry leading real-time sets. In this role you will be using proprietary tools and latest techniques in rendering, particle systems as well as post-processing effects.

    Skills required:

    • 3+ years of art creation experience in an equivalent position within a leading games studio. Must have shipped at least 1 current generation AAA title;

    • Proficiency in real-time or rendered CG techniques on sets; • Strong technical proficiency in understanding proprietary tools and technologies;

    • Must be familiar with one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, SoftImage, etc.); • Strong understanding of game development processes;

    • In-depth understanding of methods of optimizing game art assets for game engines; • Good Insight into modern 3d engines and the technology behind them is a plus.

    • Up to date knowledge of current art & lighting techniques as well as development processes.

    • Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.

    • Able to communicate effectively verbally and visually.

    • Strong interest in computer or console games.

    • Positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team.

    • Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.

    Portfolio/website demonstrating your art skills, design sensibilities, and attention to detail desirable.

    FRENCH IS NOT A MUST for this position, you will be working in an international environment.

PROJECT AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • ASSOCIATE PRODUCER M/F

    Job description :

    We are seeking 1 Associate Producer to work on our new projects. With 5 years of equivalent experience at a similar job, you have an excellent knowledge of the different stages of a AAA video game production for home consoles.

    You are an experienced resource planner, follow-up tasks meticulously and well versed in reporting clearly to all stakeholders in the production. You know the principles of the various methods of production (AGILE, SCRUM…) and have participated to the implementation of these during your last experience.

    A true people manager, you know how to anticipate issues and propose practical solutions in order to settle them. You are team-spirit as well as thorough and will eagerly optimize the efforts of a high level team on an ambitious production.

     

    Skills required :

    • Masters degree in Project Management or equivalent;

    • 5 years of experience in games development and at least one AAA title released as associate producer;

    • 2 years of team management experience;

    • Deep knowledge of MS Excell et Project (or similar);

    • Disciplined and motivated, able to work autonomously and to deliver on milestones reaching a high level of quality;

    • Professional and positive attitude, efficiency in communicating with the other members of the team;

    • English imperative, French a plus.

HIGH-END REAL-TIME 3D

  • LEAD ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

    Job description :

    Quantic Dream seeks a Lead Environment Artist responsible for leading the environment art team, taking responsibility for the planning, tracking and delivery of the game's high end 3D real-time environments.

    You will work closely with the Art Director and Production Management to ensure art assets are delivered in a timely manner and to a high level of quality.

    Strong communication and managment skills will be essential to balance these requirements.

    You must be flexible, highly motivated and detail conscious.

     

    Required skills :

    • 6+ years of progressively complex game industry art experience in a technical position and two or more years of team lead experience. Must have shipped at least one AAA title

    • Strong technical proficiency in understanding proprietary tools and technology

    • Proven good leadership skills. Able to communicate effectively verbally and visually

    • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    • Must be familiar with one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max°

    • Strong understanding of game development process and 3D engine

    • Strong understanding of methods of optimizing game art assets for game engines

    • Experience with outsourced content and proven ability to work with outsourcing and external development teams

    • Solid experience and understanding of art/animation pipelines on Xbox 360 and/or PS3

    • Up to date knowledge of current art techniques and development processes

    • Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines

    • Diligence with individual and team tasks, schedule and adherence to budget limitations

    • Positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team

    • Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends
